Hospitals dispute NHS funding cuts planned for 2016

Hospital chiefs have rejected NHS funding plans for 2016, saying safe care could not be guaranteed under proposed spending cuts.

NHS bosses had proposed a cut of just under 4% after inflation as part of a savings drive.

Services will not be affected by the dispute, but the row is a sign of the growing pressure on hospitals.
