Generation 2015 profiles: Cian McAlone

I'm 18 years old, was born and raised in Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. I live on a farm in a rural community.

It's very important to be engaged with the world around us and I feel strongly about a variety of local and national issues.

That said, there are areas where I am yet to be convinced as to what is the best way forward. I am undecided on who I will vote for in the forthcoming election and I'm excited for the debates.

My short-term ambitions include doing well in my A Levels and getting to university.

I have an inherent interest in education because of this. I feel strongly about refugee issues and would like to work towards finding solutions in the area of international development.
