Mafia boss Rancadore's 20-year prison sentence is dropped

A convicted Mafia boss, who lived under an alias in London for more than 20 years, is free to remain in the UK after his sentence in Italy expired.

Domenico Rancadore was convicted in his absence in 1999 of being a member of the Sicilian Mafia, and was sentenced to seven years in jail.

A British judge had ordered his extradition in February.

Clive Coleman reports.
