Domenico Rancadore 'is a top Mafia boss' - judge

An Italian judge has told the BBC that a man arrested in Britain is one of the Mafia's "top bosses".

Domenico Rancadore, 64, was arrested at a house in Uxbridge under a European Arrest Warrant. He is awaiting extradition to Italy, where he is expected to serve a seven-year jail term.

Vittorio Teresi, an anti-Mafia prosecutor, grew up with Rancadore and has pursued him for years.

Christian Fraser reports from Palermo.
