Nepal earthquake: First UK aid flights leave RAF Brize Norton

International aid supplies are being delivered to Nepal, after the earthquake three days ago left thousands of people without shelter, food, medicine or power.

The first UK government aid flight left RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire last night, carrying essential aid - and a team of Gurkha engineers.

The BBC's Jon Kay was given special access to follow the team before they flew out to Kathmandu.
