Gerry Adams on Charles meeting: ' This is a human occasion'

Prince Charles has arrived in Ireland at the start of a four-day visit that will include a meeting with Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams.

The meeting will be the first in the Republic of Ireland between the Sinn Féin leadership and a member of the British Royal Family.

Mr Adams described the meeting as "a human occasion" that he hoped would help the reconciliation process.

"There's a lot of hurt, a lot of grief, but we have to make sure all our steps are forward", he added.
