IPCC will not investigate police over Orgreave
South Yorkshire Police will not be investigated over its handling of violent clashes between picketers and officers at the Orgreave coking plant during the height of the miners' strike in 1984.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) said that due to the passage of time, allegations of assault and misconduct "could not be pursued".
More than 120 police officers and pickets were injured and 95 miners were arrested.
