'Only one in five beggars homeless' in England and Wales

A BBC Breakfast investigation has found that only one in five people arrested for begging on the streets of England and Wales is homeless.

The figures come from 34 police forces who responded to a Freedom of Information request by the BBC.

Breakfast's John Maguire reports from Merseyside, one of the areas with the highest number of arrests for begging.
