Bangkok bombing: British national confirmed dead

A British national was among at least 20 people killed in Monday's bomb attack in Bangkok, Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond has confirmed.

He said the female Briton was a Hong Kong resident and that British Embassy staff in Thailand were "assisting her family at this very difficult time".

Mr Hammond said Britons in Thailand should check the Foreign Office website for the latest travel advice.
