British embassy in Tehran: 'Significant development'

Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond has reopened the British Embassy in Tehran, four years after it was attacked by Iranian protestors.

It is the first visit to the country by a British foreign secretary for 12 years, and comes just weeks after an international deal on Iran's nuclear programme.

Sarosh Zaiwalla, a commentator on UK-Iran relations told BBC News: "Iran respects Britain and it is a very significant development."
