Rural crime: 'Virtually abandoned by police'

People living and working in the countryside are losing faith in the police and are the victims of more crime than they report according to a new survey of over 17,000 people in rural areas in England and Wales.

The National Rural Crime Network, which commissioned the research, says it should be a wake-up call for police forces.
