Builders find 1930s letter to Santa stuck in chimney

A letter written by a five-year-old girl to Father Christmas in the 1930s has been found in a chimney by builders during the restoration of a Grade II listed house.

In the note, found at Garthmyl Hall in Powys, the girl asks for "some nice toys" and a hymn book.

Christine Churchill, now 82, is the author of the letter and told 5 live Daily what she remembers about it.
