Full steam ahead for 'unsung hero' of Flying Scotsman

It clocked up thousands of miles and verified two of the most important speed records in railway history.

Now the Dynamometer carriage that ran behind the Flying Scotsman and Mallard has been restored by experts at York's National Railway Museum.

It is ready to go on display early next year when the Flying Scotsman itself returns to the tracks after a major refit.
