Tareena Shakil jailed for for joining so-called Islamic State

The first British woman to be found guilty of joining Islamic State has been sentenced to six years in jail.

Tareena Shakil, who is 26 and from Birmingham took her toddler son to Syria to live in Raqqa, the headquarters of the so-called Islamic State.

She was arrested when she returned to the UK. She told the court she realised she had 'made a mistake'.
