Prince William has been speaking about the UK's relationship with the rest of the world during a speech at the Foreign Office in London.

He said the big questions being tackled by diplomats - in the UN, Nato, the Middle East and elsewhere - were based on partnership.

A spokesman for Prince William categorically denied the speech was in any sense an intervention in the European debate, saying the word "Europe" wasn't mentioned.
