Injured US military dog awarded veterans medal

US Marine Corps dog Lucca, who lost her leg on duty, has been awarded a veterans charity medal honouring the work of animals in war.

The 12-year-old German Shepherd received the medal at a ceremony at Wellington Barracks in central London.
