Hillsborough: 'No choice' but to suspend Crompton

The Chief Constable of South Yorkshire Police, David Crompton, has been suspended after the force was heavily criticised for its role in the Hillsborough disaster 27 years ago.

The South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner Dr Alan Billings said he had been left with "no choice" than to suspend him because of the public's erosion of confidence.
