'Football pushes women out of journalism'

Responding to Sunderland manager David Moyes's comments that a female BBC reporter might "get a slap", Georgina Turner, a former football writer for The Guardian, says it's "doubly difficult" for women to be accepted in the masculine world of sports reporting.

She told Eddie Mair on Radio 4's PM programme that women have to "be brilliant to be accepted" and many soon question whether they want to put up with the aggravation every day.
