Prince William speaks of 'tragic' LGBT suffering

Prince William has said he hears many "tragic" stories of abuse and discrimination affecting people in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.

He spoke in a video played to the British LGBT Awards in London on Friday, where he was named "straight ally of the year".
