Boris Johnson: 'These measures are not another national lockdown'

The prime minister has said a six-person limit and greater enforcement of the rules would keep schools and businesses open, in a news conference addressing the new restrictions.

Social gatherings of more than six are being made illegal in England as coronavirus cases surge.

These rules do not apply to schools and colleges, which Boris Johnson said should only be closed as "a very, very last resort".
