PM: ''We are not going back to the full scale lockdown of March'

Speaking in the House of Commons, Boris Johnson emphasised that this lockdown will not be as robust as the first; schools, colleges and childcare will remain open.

The PM also encouraged people to continue getting essential healthcare. Outlining "the way out" of lockdown, he said the R rate should be kept down to tackle an "autumn surge."
