Starmer on Brexit treaty: 'A thin deal is better than no deal'

Labour leader Keir Starmer says that anyone choosing the option of voting against the Brexit treaty 'knows that there is no time to re-negotiate'.

Although describing the treaty as a 'thin deal', the Labour leader indicated that he would vote in favour of it rather than risk no deal, because he wanted 'Britain to be an outward-looking, optimistic and rules-based country' that 'does deals, signs treaties and abides by them'.
