Gun salute marks King Charles III's 75th birthday
Buckingham Palace has marked the 75th birthday of King Charles III with the firing of a 41-gun salute by the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery in London's Green Park.
It will be one of a number of gun salutes on Tuesday marking the birthday of the King, including a 62-gun salute at the Tower of London.
King Charles will spend the day carrying out public engagements, and later will host an event for hundreds of nurses and midwives, as part of celebrations for the 75th anniversary of the founding of the National Health Service.
