'Suspected offender known to the victims' - Met Police commissioner
The suspected offender in the south London attack is known to the victims, police believe, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mark Rowley has told the BBC.
A family was hurt after a corrosive substance was thrown at them in Clapham on Wednesday evening.
Speaking to the BBC's Eddie Nestor, Sir Mark said attacks using "chemicals" or "acid" are "exceedingly rare" in the capital.
He condemned what he described as a "ghastly" attack, and said there was a "live" police manhunt under way to find the man responsible.
