Aid collected for victims of Syrian civil war
An Essex charity has collected 20 tonnes of aid to be shipped out to people caught up in Syria's civil war.
Medical equipment, clothes and blankets were loaded into a container at Wellingborough, in Northamptonshire, to be shipped out via Turkey by the Hope and Aid Charity based at Ingatestone.
Another charity, run by Syrians living in the UK, will then work under cover, by night, to get the aid into the war zone.
