Lottery winners buy Olympic torch boy's new leg

A teenager who lost a leg to cancer has had a life changing operation thanks to Britain's biggest lottery winners.

Kieran Maxwell carried the Olympic torch through County Durham in the summer, but a stumble during that relay ultimately gave Kieran the chance to fulfil his dreams.

Colin and Chris Weir from Ayrshire stepped in to donate part of their £161m prize after hearing about his story.

His mother Nicola said he started "yelling and dancing" when he found about the donation.

Danny Savage reports.
