East of England Ambulance Service 'needs 400 more staff'

Bosses at the East of England Ambulance Service are being recommended to embark on a mass recruitment drive.

A report says more than 400 staff and 50 new ambulances are needed over the next four years. So far this year the trust has only managed to recruit seven paramedics.

It comes as demand on the emergency services has risen by 6% in the past 10 months.

Nikki Fox reports on how the eastern region's biggest ambulance service is coping.
