Police campaign to halt online radicalisation

A campaign to prevent young people being radicalised online and drawn into the fighting in Syria, has been launched by Kent Police in schools across the county.

Pupils as young as 12 will be shown a simulation of social networking by a student being targeted by extremists.

It coincides with a national campaign to increase awareness about the dangers of travelling to Syria, and comes a week after it was revealed that Brighton teenager Abdullah Deghayes died fighting in the country.
