Will you be able to live on your pension?

Millions of people of working age in the UK are living without any private or company pension.

For the government it is a ticking financial 'timebomb'. For individuals it could mean years of financial hardship in retirement.

Reporter Jon Cuthill takes a group of 'pension refuseniks' on a pensioners' day out to the south coast.

En route he talks to Bob Holman who lives on a decent-sized pension. But he also hears from married couple Lynette and Reg Rendall who have an annual pension of just £13,000 to live on.

Widow Lin Gell, who runs a guesthouse in Lee-on-the-Solent, explains why she cannot afford to give up work.

Inside Out also asks expert Dr Ros Altmann for her advice on planning for your retirement.

Inside Out is broadcast on BBC One England on Monday, 15 September at 19:30 BST and nationwide on the iPlayer seven days thereafter.
