Wetherigg Animal Sanctuary moves across the Pennines

An animal sanctuary is having to move hundreds of snakes, birds and other animals to a new home across the Pennines.

Following the sale of land and the need to expand, all 1,750 occupants are being relocated from Wetheriggs in Cumbria to a new site at Greta Bridge, near Barnard Castle.

Terry Bowes from Wetheriggs Animal Sanctuary explained the logistics to Mark McAllindon.
