North East's paramedics 'attacked, assaulted and abused'

Paramedics in the North East are regularly attacked, abused and spat at by drunk patients, according to a new report.

The survey says almost half of the region's ambulance crews have been subjected to alcohol-fuelled physical assaults while on duty.
