Driving instructor builds Spitfire in Reading back garden

A driving instructor has built a replica of a Spitfire fighter in the back garden of his home.

Alan James, from Reading, built the wooden plane over the course of three years.

Mr James said he had a life-long passion for building aeroplanes and based his plans on the original aircraft design by John O. Isaacs.
