Brides fell victim to 'cruel' fraudster jailed for wedding con
A bride has described how she was defrauded by a wedding company owner who "didn't look like the kind of person to rip you off".
Jemma Cooper from Dudley said she had to rely on family and friends for catering and decorations after Bake A Cake pulled out a week before the wedding.
The Halesowen-based wedding company ceased trading in August 2015.
Boss Lisa Holt has been jailed for three years, and her husband Ryan Holt received nine months for laundering the proceeds.
The judge at Wolverhampton Crown Court described them as , 'irresponsible, cruel and deceitful'.
