Self-defence classes are offered to Muslim women
Muslims Connect, a humanitarian charity set up in the West Midlands, said for many Islamophobia is a constant in society.
The charity is teaching Muslim Women self-defence techniques at a community hall in Birmingham.
Last year, the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner started a new service to support victims of hate incidents.
During the pandemic, more than 9,000 race hate incidents were reported to West Midlands Police.
