Shamrock Spitfire: Film spotlights Battle of Britain flying ace
A film about a decorated Irish Spitfire pilot has won almost 50 film festival awards ahead of its release.
The Shamrock Spitfire tells the story of 21-year-old Brendan “Paddy” Finucane, the youngest Wing Commander in the history of the Royal Air Force.
The film was shot in Worcestershire by Birmingham-based Pixel Revolution Films.
"Spitfire Paddy", as he became known, volunteered to join the RAF in 1938 and by the time the Battle of Britain began in 1940, he was in action and flying Spitfires.
