Tidal flow affects slipway build
The RNLI is having to cope with one of the highest tidal flows in the world while building a new slipway into the River Severn to serve Bristol and Portishead.
Contractors building the 60m slipway are studying the tide times to get their workers in and out safely.
The work has to be finished by October so as not to interfere with wading birds who fly to the area for the winter, as Sally Challoner reports.
