Paralympic winner Richard Whitehead's 38th marathon success

Paralympic gold medal winner Richard Whitehead has completed a remarkable series of charity runs in Cornwall.

The blade runner, who won gold in the 200m at London 2012, has completed 38 marathons in 42 days - running from John O'Groats to Land's End.

Weather conditions and hills made his "Richard Runs Britain" journey tough sometimes, he admitted.

Having completed the 1,040-mile (1,670km) journey, the medal winner hopes to eventually raise nearly £1m for Sarcoma UK and Scope.
