Boats removed from storm-hit Porthleven harbour

Porthleven in west Cornwall was one of the worst-hit areas as the outer harbour was breached.

Residents are making the most of the calm before the next storm to get the boats out of the harbour.

The bulks of timber which normally protect the boats and harbour cannot be replaced at the moment.

The harbourmaster in Porthleven said he had placed orders for new timber, but the harbour for now remains unprotected, as the next storm approaches.
