Crohn's patient: Stoma bag gave me my life back

A woman living with the effects of Crohn's disease has taken part in a photo shoot to raise awareness of the condition.

Amy Clare, 28, from Coventry, is showing off her stoma bag in the photos in the hope her story will help the confidence of other patients.

Amy had an ostomy - where part of the bowel is poked through the stomach to remove body waste - in June 2015, which resulted in her having a stoma bag.

She had to live with symptoms of Crohn's disease for 10 years before doctors operated and took out her bowel.

The photo shoot was arranged by Purple Wings - a charity that helps suffers with Inflammatory Bowel Disease regain their confidence.
