Derbyshire PCC Alan Charles says tax rise keeps police on streets

Derbyshire's police and crime commissioner has been explaining his decision to charge council tax payers more next year.

Alan Charles wants to increase the bill for policing by almost 2%.

He said the police council tax precept must rise to avoid taking officers off the streets.
