Referee Harry Hardy rewarded for 54 years in football

A Derbyshire man who has been refereeing football matches since 1959 has been recognised at Buckingham Palace.

Harry Hardy, 87, was given a medal by the president of the Football Association, Prince William, for services to the sport.

He said it was "absolutely marvellous" to have been given the award.
