Attack on woman killed by Jaywick XL bully dogs was preventable
The daughter of a woman who died after being attacked by two XL bully dogs says the attack was "totally preventable".
Sonia Martin said her mother, Esther, had previously raised concerns with the owner of the dogs in Jaywick, near Clacton-on-Sea, because she "was worried about them attacking her grandson".
"It shouldn’t have happened... that's the worst bit about it," she added.
Essex Police said post-mortem examinations carried out on the dogs, which were destroyed, confirmed they were XL bullies.
