Mabel Stranks secret army postmistress honoured by plaque

Mabel Stranks ran the post office in Highworth - where she vetted volunteers training for the Auxiliary Units.

Their role was to sabotage an invading German army - a wartime secret Mabel took to her grave.

A plaque has been unveiled at the post office telling her story.

On Remembrance Sunday surviving Auxiliers will parade at the Cenotaph for the first time.
