Winchester exhibition about World War I camps
An exhibition has opened marking the role of camps set up near Winchester for troops during World War I.
Morn Hill Camps was a major site for troops destined for the Western Front with an estimated two million allied soldiers passing through it.
Historians are now appealing for more details about the camp.
The To Honour A Promise project has also been launched to raise £50,000 for a permanent memorial in the city.
The exhibition is being held at The Discovery Centre in Winchester.
