Worcester: Floods approaching record levels
Flood levels in Worcester are "getting very close" to the record high set in 2007, the Environment Agency has said.
Earlier the River Severn hit 5.63m (18ft 5in) at the Barbourne gauge - compared to 5.64m (18ft 6in) in July 2007.
Meanwhile, rescue teams used dinghies to evacuate around 50 people from a block of flats in the city centre.
Dave Throup, from the Environment Agency, told the BBC he would expect to see current levels of flooding "once every 10 to 15 years".
