East Malling research into growing fruit during drought

With hosepipe bans beginning in April throughout the South East, scientists at East Malling Research are working out how irrigation can be kept to a minimum in Kent's orchards.

Commercial trials are also taking place to try and deliver water savings on produce such as strawberries without reducing the yield or quality of the fruit.
