Cliff top war memorial planned for Dover

A huge new war memorial could be built on the white cliffs of Dover in time for the centenary of the start of World War I.

The National War Memorial Campaign has drawn up plans for a stone structure which would be carved with the names of all 1.7m dead recorded on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission register
