Bumblebees thriving on Romney Marsh

Britain's rarest bumblebees appear to be thriving on the Romney Marsh in Kent as part of a programme to reintroduce them to the UK.

The short-haired bumblebee was declared extinct there 14 years ago, but queen bees from overseas have been brought to Dungeness to try to re-establish the colonies.

BBC South East Today's Jane Witherspoon visited the site and spoke to project officer Nikki Gammans, and assistant warden at RSPB Dungeness, Craig Edwards.
