Gillingham woman 'housebound' after disability funding cut

A woman said she is housebound after funding was cut for a specially-adapted mobility car she relied on to get to work.

Deborah Brown from Gillingham, Kent, has the neurological disorder ataxia, which affects her ability to walk.

"I am a very strong person but this has broken me," she said.

The Department for Work and Pensions said decisions were made with the help of claimants' GPs.
