Chelsea Flower Show inspires community garden

The centenary celebrations of the Chelsea Flower Show have inspired people in a Lancashire town created a community garden.

Dyke Nook Gardens in Accrington was once part of a formal garden designed by Gertrude Jekyll, the 19th Century horticulturalist.

Miss Jekyll created over 400 gardens and was a founding member of the arts and crafts movement.

Andrew Willocks from the Royal Horticultural Society said people of all ages "have been inspired to come along here and make a remarkable community space".
